In the Buenos Aires town of Ramos Mejía, a couple fell victim to a robbery carried out by motorcycle thieves aiming to steal their vehicle. The incident took place on Monday afternoon on Argentina Street at number 900, between Bermúdez and Miguel Cané, when the young couple, aged 21 and 22 respectively, were riding their motorcycle and were surrounded by four criminals.
One of the assailants stripped the young man of his motorcycle and threatened the couple with a firearm, warning them to leave or he would shoot. According to police sources, the victims suffered traumatic shock and received assistance from neighbors and motorists before the police arrived.
The criminals, who were captured by security cameras and seen by residents of the area, managed to escape quickly before the police could apprehend them. Currently, the police authorities are conducting a search for those responsible for the robbery.
The case is being investigated by Prosecutor Alejandra Nuñez of UFI No. 9 of La Matanza, and by the 2nd police station of Ramos Mejía, under the charge of aggravated robbery through the use of a firearm.
